In the series “Ás Águas do Mundo” I start from the tale, with the same name, by Clarice Lispector, as a source of inspiration in the shapes that emerge from the fabric created with seeds and pods of the espatódea (tree of African origin with large and exuberant orange flowers). ).
I use the metaphor of the woman's encounter with the sea as the basis of the poetics used for the production of the works. The words: transformation, fertilization, violence and passion are closely linked to the figures formed by this skin that tries to make a visual body that submits to a sexual scheme, strictly individual and linked to affective totality.
An encounter with nature that reveals the feminine that discovers itself full and powerful.
